Porcelain mug with a celadon style liner glaze - soda fired.
Marks are created by stacking work closely to each other, what you see is a record of the flame’s path through the kiln, and where soda ash builds up and melts. The dark gray areas are made when smoke gets trapped in the melted soda ash.
