The work shows the process because we are obsessed with the process.

From material development and selection, to the technique for making each piece, to the wide array of firing processes employed to achieve the unique effects — the love for process can be seen in the details.

  • Materials are hand select to bring the materiality and character through to the final product.

  • I pick up techniques for making to enable specific functions and forms. Every piece is specifically made with its end use in mind.

  • A wide variety of firing techniques are employed to achieve desired surfaces. The intended firing process is considered when selecting materials and making forms. It’s al related.

  • Pottery is made from natural materials. I make it a point to reclaim and reuse all scraps of clay when possible.

Almost all items that don’t meet quality standards are donated, sold as a second quality item, or broken down to use for another purpose.

All shipping materials are recyclable, or even better can be reused.
